1. How to use Spicetify
Step 1: First, make sure you have installed the software from Spotify’s official website Here. Because Spicetify only works with the version of Spotify downloaded from the link above and not via the Microsoft Store.
Step 2: Type in search for PowerShell and select ‘Run as administrator’.
Step 3: Spicetify is a command line tool, so you don’t need to download any files. You just need to paste the command line below into PowerShell to install:
iwr -useb https://raw.githubusercontent.com/spicetify/spicetify-cli/master/install.ps1 | iex
Step 4: When asked if you want to install Spicetify Marketplace, type Y. Then press Enter.
After successful installation, open the application and you will see the ‘Shopping Cart’ (Marketplace) icon in the upper left corner of Spotify. (If you don’t see it, just close the application and reopen it, about 1-2 times it will appear).
Step 5: Click Cart to access Spicetify Marketplace.
Here, you will find dozens of extensions to customize Spotify such as adding new options, changing themes, blocking ads, etc.
