If your computer connects multiple audio output devices such as speakers, headphones, and you are having difficulty distinguishing and switching between these devices. This article will help you.
There are two ways to do this
1. Rename using Settings
Press Windows + I key combination to open Windows 10 installation window. Next, select System> Sound. Under Output, select the device in the drop-down list you want to rename and click the Device Properties link. In the Device Properties interface, next to the device icon, you can enter a new name for the device in the box. Then press Rename to change the name. After changing the name, you can check by clicking on the speaker icon on the taskbar to see the name of the changed device is easy to recognize.
2. Change with Control Panel
Access the Control Panel of Windows 10, then find the Sound item with the speaker icon. In the window showing the system’s audio devices, select the Playback tab and select the device to be renamed (the device must be connected to the system, identified by a green check mark) and click the Properties.
Next at the General tab, enter the name you want to change for the device in the name input box at the top of the window. Then click Apply> OK.
